synopsis
Hung Hei-goon (Jet Li), a former student of Shaolin and fugitive member of the Red Lotus Society, wanders China with his young son. Meanwhile, during a government crackdown on Shaolin temple, five young monks who have the map to a treasure tattooed on their backs manage to escape. The two groups meet up, and along with a lively pair of mother-daughter thieves, eventually find themselves forced into battle with a longtime foe of Hung's, who has been transformed by hatred and supernatural experimentation into an invincible monster.
