Dear Mr. Li
I Want to thank you for putting out the time for this Q & A session. Have 3 questions.
1) There are movies of different genres, including martial arts sci-fi (the One), martial arts drama (KOD), martial arts comedy (Rush-Hour). I've found that you have discussed interest in great stories, and I've found that the best stories seem to revolve around a romance for a person, like Crouching Tiger or Dr. Wai (definitely one of my favorite film of yours, I could watch it without the fight scenes, which were great as well). People seem to relate more to it. Was just wondering if you have any plans in your head for this type of movie right now?
2) Will you be working with other asian female leads soon? you seem to be hooked up with girls of other races to appeal more to Americans, but have yet to appeal to asians who find it weird that Jet characters aren't attracted to asian girls since he made his American debut.
3) Lastly, I'm a pretty shy guy, and you seem to be shy as well. I was wondering, How does Jet Li meet girls, actually more as how did Jet Li have the courage to speak to Nina when you guys first met?
"Angel"
Jet's Response
Sure, if I see a good action, martial art film with a romance of course I would love to do it.
Right now I'm working with two great Asian female leads, Zhang Zi Yi and Maggie Cheung.
I was pretty shy so I did a lot of talking with my eyes, and later on we did a lot of telephone conversations.
